In 2013, I released the landmark personal twine works that comprised The Richard Goodness Trilogy. In the roughly six months since I released these games, I’ve learned a lot about how to write better Twines and have made some great works such as Sam And Leo Go To The Bodega, Player Torture Simulator, Twinal Fantasy, and Does The Sneaker Have To Matter.
But my heart was still with myself and my own story, so I’ve decided that it’s time that I give the world my true face for the world to see my true face: My own, true face, for the world, to see.
Please enjoy this glimpse into my psyche!
After weeks of writing, rewriting, and murdering 4,000 words that were, quite simply, inferior, Sam and Leo Go To The Bodega has been released as part of the annual InteractIve Fiction competition! All competition entries can be viewed here http://ifcomp.org/comp13/info.php , and if you’re just looking for the boys, you can find them here: http://ifcomp.org/comp13/play.php?id=285
Because of competition rules I will wait to say anything about the game until after the voting period. Please play and enjoy all of the games if you can!
I would like to take this opportunity to announce my new Twine videogame, Sam and Leo Go To The Bodega, which is currently under development!
This game will take place in Bed Stuy, Brooklyn, New York, and will be about the adventures of two down-on-their-luck guys who are just trying to get a snack. It will feature many alternate paths through–much as it is Sam and Leo’s story, it will also be YOUR story.
You can help make Sam and Leo Go To The Bodega a reality by visiting my GoFundMe page and donating!
Here is a preview of the map for the game!
More information will be available here and on my twitter @richardgoodness !
